Miu Miu is Babydoll-Gone-Bad for Spring 2019

The ambitious and adventurous label meshes the adorable with the edgy in its latest ready-to-wear collection and we believe (but cannot at this time confirm) this dress is a part of it’s smashing collection. 

The Spring 2019 collection visually strays fron the label's past collections-say goodbye to light floral prints, and say hello to oversized. The latest collection is full of contradiction, from loose-fitting babydoll dresses made from dark gray, patchwork denim, to tiny ribbons decorating oversized blackout visor shades, with even the styling of stringy hair and unevenly cut bangs adorned with diamond-studded headbands. Creative director, Miuccia Prada, also decided to play with dramatic silhouettes this season, styling chunkier pieces like cable-knit sweaters or masculine suit jackets up top paired with high-cut, thigh-baring skirts and shorts giving the illusion of endless legs. However, in order to curb to the salt and sexiness and sweeten up the mix are delicate, ballet-flats and satin covered platforms. Much of which is similar to what we are seeing in 2023. 

The dress is black to some and a deep plum to other. Some see it for yourself. We’d be happy to provide more pictures if you’re not in the Wilmington area. 

The Italian size is 38, which is a US 4 or 6.
